Reprieve

During a time in my life when I felt like I was repeatedly drawing on an empty well and in desperate need of reprieve, I decided to make this drawing of the Savior offering me a drink of His abundant Living Water dripping from his scarred hands. A visual offering of reprieve. As I look at it it transports me to the scripture story of the woman at the well, though in this story I am the woman and I am tirelessly drawing on empty asking the Lord for help. “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:13-14)
